Chorus Uniforms Ladies

Dress top/ dress bottom

White cami/ tank top

Black tights

Black (closed toe shoes)

No jewelry

No hair bows

All hair should be tied back and out of face

Chorus Uniforms Gentleman

TUX and all the stuff to go with it

Black socks

Black shoes

Ladies and Gentleman Chorus T-Shirt

Will be worn in the park on Saturday

Pants or shorts/ jeans or khakis (school appropriate)

Sneakers

No flip-flops

PJ’S & all that jazz

Bathing suits (not required)

Beach towel (not required)

Change of clothes for Sunday (school appropriate)

Food and Money

Students will pack a lunch on Friday

Optional $$ for souvenirs and extra food in the park- 

we will be eating at 3:00 provided by park.   

Students may want a snack before then.

3:30pm             Students arrive at York High School

                          Change (in cars) and get ready for competition

4:20pm            Listen to AG Cox Middle School Chorus

4:40pm            Listen to Roanoke College Children’s Choir

5:00pm            Listen to Roanoke College Children’s Choir

5:20 pm            Warm-up

5:40 pm            Performance

6:00pm            Dinner

                          Bring $$ for fast food

app. 8:00pm   Check-in at Hotel

Saturday, April 30

9:40am            Chickahominy Middle School 7^th grade chorus

10:00am          Monroe Township High School Mixed Chorus

10:20am          Leave for Busch Gardens

10:40am          Arrive to park

3:00pm            Dinner in the Park- Black Forest Picnic Area

5:00pm            Awards Ceremony- Royal Palace Theater

                          Leave for hotel

                          Stay in the park or go back to the hotel

10:00pm            Light’s out!

SUNDAY, MAY 1

7:00am            Breakfast

                          Bring $$ for a casual sit-down meal

1:00pm            Leave VA Beach

4:30pm            Return to FA4

St. Patty's Day- Irish Potatoes

Makes about 60

Ingredients:

1/4 cup butter, softened

1/2 (8 ounce) package cream cheese

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

4 cups confectioners' sugar

2 1/2 cups flaked coconut

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Directions:

In a medium bowl, beat the butter and cream cheese together until smooth. Add the vanilla and confectioners' sugar; beat until smooth. Using your hands if necessary, mix in the coconut. Roll into balls or potato shapes, and roll in the cinnamon. Place onto a cookie sheet and chill to set. If desired, roll potatoes in cinnamon again for darker color (I usually mix cinnamon and sugar together and then roll the potatoes).

11:35 am: students and chaperones arrive at the Pizza Hut in Lillington, NC

3:15 pm: arrive back at FA4

Cars should enter the parking lot directly behind the fine arts building.  Security will be available for direction.  Campbell is located off Highway 421 between Dunn and Lillington.

MPA Important Information

We will be leaving from the FA4 theater promptly at 10:30am.  Chaperones please meet in the theater, once we have finished rehearsing we will meet you there. 

Students will meet in the chorus room at 9:30am.  We will rehearse our music and talk about other important logistics before we leave. 

Students are to bring money for lunch.  We will be stopping for fast food along the way. 

What to wear to school:

Ladies:

Shorts underneath uniform bottoms

White tank top or cami underneath chorus t-shirt or uniform top

Black tights

Black closed toe shoes (no heels)
NO jewelry

Gentleman: 

May wear tux to school 

if not 

Black tux pants and chorus t-shirt
